This Week in Betting, a to Z

A – All-Star. It’s the NHL All-Star Game in Dallas this week. No one watches hockey when it is full of hits, fights and all the fun body contact, so why in the world would people watch it when the players aren’t touching each other?

B – Bush, Reggie. The 88-yard run was as impressive as you expect from this super freak. He sure made it clear that he isn’t yet a mature man, though, didn’t he? Do you think that that front flip into the end zone pissed the Chicago defense off, or was it just a coincidence that those were the last points New Orleans scored?

C – Crosby, Sidney. I know I dwell on this guy, but the Pittsburgh forward will get more attention than anyone else at the NHL All-Star Game. Remember, he’s only 19 years old, so he’s only going to get better than he is, and he’s amazing already. If you haven’t seen him play, do yourself a favor and catch a Penguins game.

Breckenridge was established in 1859 and is famed for the Tom’s Baby – a gold nugget discovered in 1887 by Tom Groves. This resulted in the Gold Rush and Breckenridge was soundly finished as any other mining town afterwards. When the rush was finished in the early 1900′s, Breckenridge was discounted aside from a few stubborn villagers that chose to remain.

NBA Playoff Tickets – Spurs and Jazz Looking Strong

Before the 2009-10 season began, the talk out West was all about the Los Angeles Lakers, and rightfully so.  The Lakers were coming off winning the NBA title and had been to the NBA Finals in two consecutive seasons.  The Lake Show had added Ron Artest in the offseason and looked like huge favorites to again represent the Western Conference in the Finals.

While the Lakers did earn the top seed in the West playoffs and are probably the biggest <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/nba-playoff-tickets/”>NBA Playoff tickets</a> draw, I’m not so sure their road to a third straight NBA Finals is going to be all that smooth.  They’re already getting a real fight from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round as of April 27th and the Spurs and Jazz are both up 3-1 in their respective series.

Let’s begin with the Spurs.  Considered by many to be too old

NBA Basketball Picks – Power Rankings Week 2 Eastern Conference

In NBA Basketball Picks, very interesting second week of the NBA season.

Boston obtained their first loss, the Nets failed to grab their first win in NBA Basketball Picks.

And, quite frankly, a win in the New York Metropolitan area might not occur again for quite some time. The Knicks allowed a 40 point first quarter, twice. Maybe they got lost in the LeBron James hoopla, because the certainty of Knicks fans that LeBron will be in the Big Apple next season is quite breathtaking.

The Bulls beat Cleveland in a nail-biter, then turned around and actually lost by a nail in Denver on a called-off Brad Miller jumper that would have won the game.

The wheels fell off for the Wizards. Sure, they didn’t have Jamison…but now Mike Miller and Randy Foye are both banged up, and Gilbert Arenas nearly didn’t start against Miami.

When you’re forced to play DeShawn Stevenson for 40 minutes, bad things are

Nba Playoffs 2010 Aka The “real Season” (Predictions Sure To Go Wrong)

It’s time.  The Cavs lost the season finale to the Hawks, but the time for LeBron to rest is over with.  I must say, it kind of bothers me that we’re “limping” into the playoffs on a 4-game losing streak.  Mike Brown decided he didn’t care, since we’ve already locked up home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Cleveland, it is time for an NBA championship.  LeBron, in his 7th season, is poised to win it all.  This is the best supporting cast The King has had since he’s been here.  There aren’t any excuses that can be made this year.  Shaq Diesel has had a long time to get into playoff shape, and he’s vowed his mission here is “To win a ring for the King”.

Well, it all starts today.  Chicago beat out Toronto for the right to play the Cavs in the 1st round.  They probably think they have a chance to shock the world and upset the best team in the NBA.  Not happening.  Chicago doesn’t have the depth or skill to match up with

12 Things 4 Games in the Conference Finals Have Taught Us

12 Things 4 Games in the Conference Finals Have Taught Us

Author: Brian Stankich

U. S. Sports Media, Inc

1.  LeBron James is The Man.  Well, we already knew that, but some people are just finding that out this postseason, especially the Magic fans after Game 2.

2.  Carmelo Anthony has lifted his game into the upper echelon of NBA stars.  He is easily on everyone’s top five list along with LeBron, Kobe, Dwayne, and Dwight.

3.  Chauncey Billups, Carmelo’s Nuggets teammate, was the glue that held the Detroit Pistons together.  The Denver native (George Washington High School) now is the primary reason the Nuggets have the upper hand in the Western Conference Finals.

4.  Kobe Bryant is the best player on the planet not named LeBron.  His Game 1 performance proved to the star-studded Hollywood crowd that he is the Entertainer.
